Job summary

H2ajobs is recruiting for winter maintenance workers to service Mammoser Farms in Erie County. Duties include snow removal from pathways and roofs, de-icing, and maintenance of manure/water pipes and bunker silos.

Workers will repair and operate farm equipment such as plows, skid steers, tractors, and parlor gear in all weather conditions. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with free cooking facilities for those housed on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 month experience in the described tasks.
• Ability to lift heavy snow up to 40 lbs.
• Random drug testing may be required post-hire for safety.

Job description

Perform general winter maintenance at various Mammoser Farms properties in Erie County. Perform snow removal from pathways/roadways and roofs on farm property. De-ice and repair manure/water pipes and bunker silos. Repair/maintain equipment (plows, skid steers, tractors, feeder trucks, parlor equipment). Work in all weather conditions. Random drug testing may be required at employer expense after hire for safety of workers due to operation of dangerous equipment. Ability to lift heavy snow (up to 40 lbs.). Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 1 months experience in performing the tasks described in this order. Daily work schedule may vary based on weather conditions. Workers may drive farm plated tractors, trucks, or snowplow machines.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free cooking and kitchen facilities to those workers who are entitled to live in the employer's housing so that workers may prepare their own meals. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employer will offer to provide (on a voluntary bases by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries.

Transport: Employer will provide or pay for airline tickets, charter bus services, or other commercial bus service to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation that they choose. Employer will reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. See Addendum C.

Work in all weather conditions. Random drug testing may be required post-hire at employer expense to both domestic and H-2A workers for safety of workers.
