Job summary

Bernards Township School District is seeking an Assistant Fencing Coach for the upcoming season at Ridge High School to support student-athletes and the fencing program. You will work with the Head Coach to develop skills and promote sportsmanship in a positive, competitive environment.

The ideal candidate will have fencing experience and strong knowledge of techniques and rules, plus the ability to collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NJ Teaching Certification or Substitute Certificate.
• Experience in fencing, either as competitor or coach, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fencing techniques, rules, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other staff members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
• Must be available for practices, competitions, and team events throughout the fencing season.
• Background check will be required prior to employment.
