Job summary

The Hermitage Club is seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher to support a licensed childcare center that serves members and guests during weekends and holiday periods in the winter season. Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Pediatric First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification required.
• BFIS account preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive one-on-one with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily classroom activities including indoor/outdoor play and routines.
• Provide attentive supervision of children throughout the day.
• Support transitions and center-based play with calm, patient guidance.
• Foster inclusive, welcoming classroom environment and positive interactions.
• Provide daily updates to parents/guardians about routines and experiences.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom in line with policy.
