Job summary

Forest Home Health Tech position provides emergency medical assessment, basic first aid, and medication dispensing to Forest Home guests and staff. It operates on rotating shifts with 24-hour on-call duties, ensuring timely care and accurate documentation in the camp EMR.

Applicant will work with licensed professionals to deliver high-quality care, assist with transport for advanced care, and support health screenings and safety protocols within Forest Home policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• Formal medical assessment training (EMT program, nursing school, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provides basic First Aid to Forest Home guests and staff on a rotating shift basis with 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
• Meets guest and staff needs with a gracious attitude and an encouraging spirit.
• Assists with assessment and facilitation of treatment for all staff members using Worker’s Compensation and completes documentation as instructed.
• Responsible for logging all assessments, treatments, and medications in the camp electronic medical record.
• Assists in organizing transportation for guests who need to be driven off grounds for advanced healthcare needs.
• Assures all campers receive medications as directed and documents in camp electronic medical record.
• Works closely with licensed medical professionals to provide high quality medical care to campers within First Aid Protocols.
• Assists with Health Screening procedures for all campers and assures forms are collected and kept for medical records.
