Job summary

UHY LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to gain hands-on experience in audit and assurance. You will work with experienced professionals on real engagements and contribute to the accuracy of financial reporting for diverse clients.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, basic substantive and control testing, and preparation of workpapers and reports. This role emphasizes training, collaboration, and adherence to firm standards.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience or less
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with audit teams to perform tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information
• Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing
• Support the maintenance of audit files and documentation, ensuring they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards
• Assist in the preparation of workpapers and audit reports
• Assist in compiling financial data for audit analysis
• Participate in basic analytical procedures to identify trends and potential issues
• Engage in training sessions to enhance audit concepts and software skills
• Utilize audit software to input data and extract reports
