Melaleuca is seeking an Accounting Intern for a 90‑day program in Idaho Falls. The role supports the Accounting Manager by handling inventory, capital, cash, income, expenses and product costs, while learning how to prepare financial statements and conduct variance analyses.

Qualifications

• Preference given to students currently in their junior or senior year of college, pursuing a degree in related field
• Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher
• Able to work in Idaho Falls, Idaho for approximately 90 days
• Strong creativity skills
• Strong customer relation skills
• Detailed work and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
• Ability to work independently and follow through on projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Interns function as one of the Accountants as much as possible while they are here
• Prepares financial statements for various entities
• Reviews and analyzes departments prepares appropriate closing journal entries
• Performs monthly expenses account variance analysis
• Perform special projects by researching, coordinating, gathering information, etc.
