Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in Idaho Falls is seeking a college intern to join our Accounting Group for a 90-day program offered during Winter or Summer sessions. As an intern you will function like an Accountant, preparing financial statements, reviewing closing entries, and performing monthly expense variance analysis, while contributing to special projects under the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Preference given to students currently in their junior or senior year of college, pursuing a degree in related field.
• Able to work in Idaho Falls, Idaho for approximately 90 days.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
• Strong creativity skills
• Strong customer relation skills
• Detailed work and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
• Ability to work independently and follow through on projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements for various entities.
• Reviews and analyzes departments' closing journal entries.
• Performs monthly expenses account variance analysis.
• Performs special projects by researching, coordinating, gathering information, etc…
