Job summary

Figma is seeking Software Engineer Interns for a Winter 2027 term, with roles in San Francisco or New York. Interns join small engineering teams, are matched to areas of interest, and contribute to real projects under a mentor.

Four areas are available: Product, Backend/Infrastructure, Security, or Open. Expected to deliver a shipped project by term end, with housing stipend and travel reimbursement. Salary is $55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (C++, JavaScript, Python or Java).
• Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience solving technical problems through school, work or personal projects.
• Available to work from January 5, 2027 in San Francisco or New York hub.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor and teammates on an internship project and ship it by term end.
• Embed in a small engineering team and participate in peer code reviews.
• Contribute to projects in one of four areas: Product, Backend/Infrastructure, Security, or Open.
