Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an engineering internship in mechanical/aerospace disciplines. You will receive problem statements, conduct trade studies, design solutions, and procure hardware to implement them.

You will test and demonstrate effectiveness while collaborating to deliver results in a summer program. The role requires ongoing studies in ME/AE, in-person commitment for 16–24 weeks in 2027, and eligibility for access to export-controlled information.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Will return to school after internship for at least one quarter/semester.
• U.S. Person with eligibility for access to export-controlled information; security clearance may be required.
• Capable of a 16–24 week in-person internship in Summer 2027 at one of our offices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Receive problem statements guidelines, requirements, and reporting milestones

• Independently perform trade studies, designs, and generate solutions for approval

• Execute the procurement of hardware as necessary to implement solutions

• Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.

• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.

• Ability to complete an in-person 16-24-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements.

• Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems

• A genuine interest in manufacturing and desire to learn.

• Coursework, internships, or school-related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing related.

• Exposure to PCBA fabrication, including coursework or project work with SMT processes.

• Hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.), including work on personal or extracurricular projects.

• Software scripting experience in any language.

• Familiarity with CAD software, Manufacturing Execution Systems, or ERP/MRP systems.

US Hourly Range

$32-45 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
