Job summary

Anduril Industries is offering a winter 2027 internship in Massachusetts for mechanical engineering, math, physics, or related fields. You’ll design and build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production while applying first principles.

This in-person internship requires returning to school after the program, US person eligibility, and a 16–24 week commitment at an Anduril office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16-24 -week internship in one of our offices in winter 2027.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Collegiate project team or laboratory experience.
• Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate engineering program.
• CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high-quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
• Demonstrated hands‑on fabrication skills.
• High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles.
• Prior internship experience and/or leadership on a collegiate project team or laboratory.
• Experience in NX/Teamcenter and/or Solidworks.
• Experience with FEA and/or CFD analysis tools.
• Ability to integrate electrical components into designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.).
• Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.

US Hourly Range

$34 - $50 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
