Job summary

Volo Kids in New York is seeking enthusiastic part-time youth coaches to provide a safe, engaging, and fun experience for children during our 6-8 week season. You will guide drills, work with a team of volunteers, and help create a positive atmosphere for families and players alike.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as direct contact with kids and families to ensure a safe, fun experience.
• Plan practice drills using provided resources and curriculum.
• Lead program drills with kids and other coaches in a fun, engaging way.
• Keep players engaged and identify volunteer spots to prevent downtime.
• Lead pre- and post-game huddles emphasizing sportsmanship and mindfulness.
• Oversee field setup and cleanup each week.
• Guide volunteers on-field and explain how to get further involved.
• Submit weekly logs with program feedback.

• Understand & lead both kids and other coaches through program drills in a FUN and engaging way
• Keep the players engaged, and identify places where volunteers can fill in to prevent downtime
• Lead pre-game and post-game huddles that emphasize sportsmanship and mindfulness
• Know and lead the field set up and clean up each week
• Guide volunteers with on-field support and explain how to get further involved.
• Submit weekly logs to provide an overview and feedback on programs
