Total Wine & More in Baton Rouge seeks an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and leading a sales-driven team. You’ll report to the Store Manager and help manage payroll, inventory, and store operations while ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations.

You will recruit, train, and develop staff, foster a welcoming store atmosphere, and drive profitability with KPIs. This is a full-time on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory retail role.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team and develop product knowledge.
• Support day-to-day operations including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
