Job summary

Mollie Stone’s Markets in San Francisco seeks a Wine and Spirits Clerk at our Grand Central location. The ideal candidate has a passion for wine and specialty spirits and a desire to grow product knowledge to tailor the shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, expanding knowledge to offer pairing ideas, merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and cashiering support. We offer competitive pay and strong local benefits.

About the Role

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Part/Full Time Wine and Spirits Clerk at our San Francisco - Grand Central location. The perfect candidate must have passion and experience in wine and specialty spirits as well as a desire to develop their product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for all customers. The perfect candidate will not only have a love of wine and spirits but have a passion for food and grocery.

Essential Functions

• Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service
• Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food
• Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout department
• Stock and face shelves, coolers, and displays
• Inventory control
• Transporting merchandise from storage areas and sales floor
• Assist in other departments if needed and cashiering

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in retail with a focus on wine/spirits
• Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Self-motivated and energetic
• Willingness to be cross trained in other departments if needed
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Local candidates only

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day
• Walking: Up to 8 hours per day
• Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day

Pay scale: $20-25.95/hour DOE
