Job summary

Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a full-time Wine & Spirits APC Clerk for our Pacific Heights location. The ideal candidate has a passion for wine and specialty spirits and will develop product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for every guest.

The APC role is versatile and may involve cashier duties or support in other departments as needed. We value exceptional customer service, ongoing learning about wine and spirits, and the ability to suggest pairing ideas with food.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in retail with a focus on wine/spirits.
• Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Willingness to be cross trained in other departments if needed.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Local candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service
• Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food
• Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout department
• Stock and face shelves, coolers, and displays
• Inventory control
• Transporting merchandise from storage areas and sales floor
• Assist in other departments if needed and cashiering

About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a FT Wine and Spirits APC Clerk at our Pacific Heights locations. The perfect candidate must have passion and experience in wine and specialty spirits as well as a desire to develop their product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for all customers. The perfect candidate will not only have a love of wine and spirits but have a passion for food and grocery. The (APC) All Purpose Clerk is a versatile team member who may be assigned to work in Cashiering, or any other department based on store needs.

Essential Functions:

• Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service
• Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food
• Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout department

• Inventory control

Minimum Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day
• Walking: Up to 8 hours per day
• Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day
