Job summary

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Over six months up to one year of related work experience.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of local policies on tobacco and liquor sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and treat customers as the most important people in the store.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products; escort them to items and secure out-of-reach products.
• Assist with loading/unloading heavy items and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service to callers.
• Maintain displays and rotate stock; review invoices as needed.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and company policies; adhere to tobacco/liquor sale rules.
• Support inventory and merchandising tasks and build displays when needed.
