Job summary

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants in Wheeling, IL, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced, high-volume scratch kitchen. You will partner with the Executive Kitchen Manager to deliver hospitality, coach team members, and ensure high food quality and guest experience.

You will oversee 1–2 kitchen departments, maintain safety standards, implement new menus, manage inventory and labor, and collaborate with front-of-house to keep service flowing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 1–2 kitchen departments including dish, prep, and/or line.
• Maintain professional image and uphold culinary and safety standards.
• Use POS systems, scheduling software, ordering/inventory systems, and Microsoft Office to stay organized.
• Help execute new menu roll-outs, kitchen initiatives, and private events.
