Job summary

City Winery Philadelphia is seeking bartenders to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-end venue. You will prepare and serve wine, beer, and cocktails, upsell tastings, and support floor service while maintaining brand standards.

You will manage opening/closing duties, handle transactions, stay compliant with health and safety rules, and share knowledge about our wines, cuisines, and events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ bartender experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Strong work ethic and exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and exceed guest expectations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
• Aptitude to resolve problems and take direction.
• Ability to work in a loud, dark venue with tight spaces and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive guest experiences from greeting to departure.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, handle transactions, and support guest service needs.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to City Winery standards.
• Upsell, drive sales promotions, and participate in events and marketing efforts.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain bar area within time limits.
• Maintain knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, menu ingredients, and allergens.
