Job summary

Wine Industry Expo is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support accounting operations within the wine industry. You will assist with AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, tax reporting, and month-end close in a detail-oriented, confidential environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive learning about winery operations, regulations, and compliance, with responsibilities spanning vendor processing, travel expenses, and credit card reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related accounting experience or training preferred.
• Experience in the wine/alcohol industry preferred.
• CPA is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with invoicing across various sales channels, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Prepare and file sales tax and CRV reporting.
• Maintain and update accounting records and assist with entries related to AP, AR, bank deposits and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Process vendor invoices, review for accuracy, ensure proper coding and timely payments.
