Job summary

Navigator Wine Collection is seeking an experienced Controller in Napa, CA to lead financial reporting, close, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis. You will work with the accounting manager and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate statements and actionable insights on margins, inventory, and cash flow.

The ideal candidate has deep Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience and a proven ability to build complex reports and analyses.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting.
• Wine industry accounting experience, including inventory and production costing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Demonstrated experience building financial reports and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large data sets.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports with variances and trends explained.
• Review GL activity for accuracy and timely posting.
• Coordinate reporting and data alignment with finance teams and outside advisors.
• Maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls.
