Job summary

Sixty Vines in Reston, VA is seeking a server to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our open-scratch kitchen dining room. You’ll help guests pair dishes with wine and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hospitality throughout shifts.

You will navigate the menu, take accurate orders, handle payments, stock stations, and support team members to ensure a high-quality dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Properly utilize a tray to deliver food and drink to guests.
• Obtain and update any required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work, in proper uniform.
• Accurately ring in all food and beverage orders in the computer.
• Stock and replenish stations as needed, including polished silverware glassware.
• Assist guests with any questions or concerns about the menu, including wine knowledge.
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver, place, and remove food at tables.
• Pre-bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant.
• Communicate questions or issues to management promptly.
• Collaborate with coworkers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Perform opening/closing duties and sanitize workstations.
• Set up next shift for success.
• Follow sanitation procedures and alcohol service rules.
• Participate in continuing education courses.
• Maintain knowledge of food/bar menu and host procedures.
