Position Summary:

The Retail Wine Associate provides exceptional guest service, manages retail sales, wine club sign-ups, and merchandise sales at the retail counter. Responsibilities include assisting guests, managing communications, driving sales, educating staff, and maintaining the sales floor and inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 1-year experience in retail wine or hospitality customer service
• Knowledge of wine varietals, tasting notes, and wine service
• Excellent hospitality skills and polished presentation
• Proficient in typing and computer use
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Fluent in English, capable of reading, writing, and basic math
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the first contact for retail wine purchases
• Handling guest correspondence via phone and email
• Assisting with wine and merchandise selection
• Managing Wine Club sign-ups and member services
• Promoting retail wine through tastings
• Educating staff on products
• Using POS and inventory software accurately
• Coordinating promotions with the Retail Wine Director
• Organizing and maintaining the retail space
• Conducting winery tours for guests
