The Wine and Spirits Assistant Department Manager supports the Department Manager in presenting the freshest, most innovative, and best quality products at a competitive price. In this role, you'll supervise the team, manage inventory, maintain the sales floor, and step in as the department leader when the manager is away. Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home; Wine and Spirits Department Manager
Direct Reports: Wine and Spirits Clerks
High school diploma or equivalent experience required; six months or less of related work experience preferred
This is a fast-paced role in a retail store environment with continuous exposure to noise, temperature extremes, and dampness, frequent exposure to equipment movement hazards and cleaning chemicals or solvents, and occasional potential for electrical hazards. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
