Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform windshield testing, sample preparation, and test setup. You will collect windshields, cut samples, and run body glass and transmission tests to support product evaluation.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year of lab testing experience. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays; knowledge of ANSI European/Asian market standards is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect windshield samples.
• Cut windshields to create test samples.
• Prepare samples for specific tests.
• Conduct body glass fragmentation tests.
• Test water softener system for each windshield line.
• Conduct distortion, moisture, pummel, light transmission, boil testing, ball drop testing, and opacity analyses.
• Follow up testing for non-compliant product.
• Perform additional testing for European and Asian market parts.
