  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the enterprise Windows Server environment across physical and virtual infrastructure: configure, monitor, and troubleshoot servers to ensure availability and performance across all CPI locations.
  • Manage server roles and services including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and remote desktop services; ensure configurations are consistent and documented.
  • Maintain file and folder permissions across server-based and cloud file systems; conduct periodic access reviews and remediate excess or stale permissions.
  • Administer enterprise application installations and configurations on server infrastructure; coordinate with application owners to ensure platforms are properly deployed, patched, and maintained.

  • Administer the enterprise virtualization platform: provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines; manage host resources, clustering, and capacity planning.
  • Manage enterprise storage infrastructure including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage platforms; monitor capacity, performance, and health; plan and execute storage expansions and migrations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all physical servers, virtual machines, and storage assets; ensure documentation reflects current state.
  • Manage the enterprise server patching program: maintain a consistent monthly patching cadence, track compliance across all servers, and report patching status to leadership.
  • Collaborate with the security team to define, implement, and validate server hardening baselines aligned to applicable security frameworks and compliance requirements (including CMMC where relevant); own implementation on the server side.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing server and system data for audit and compliance purposes; ensure documentation is accurate and readily available.
  • Own enterprise backup operations: configure, monitor, and maintain backup jobs across server and application infrastructure; ensure all critical systems are covered and backup jobs are completing successfully.
  • Conduct periodic restore tests across servers, applications, and file systems; document results and remediate any gaps in recoverability.
  • Own the disaster recovery infrastructure for server systems: maintain replication, manage the DR environment, and ensure failover capability is validated and current.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans for server and application systems; coordinate DR exercises with relevant teams and document outcomes.
  • Assess server infrastructure at acquired companies: inventory existing servers, applications, storage, and services; document findings and develop a standardization plan.
  • Lead server-side integration of acquired company infrastructure into CPI standards: migrate workloads, decommission redundant systems, and ensure acquired environments meet baseline configuration and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with the network and security teams on infrastructure projects, hardening initiatives, and cross-functional troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to the annual infrastructure roadmap; identify aging systems, capacity constraints, and technology gaps; make recommendations for remediation.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all server systems, configurations, and processes; keep runbooks and architecture documentation current.
  • Willingness to travel to branch and acquisition sites when necessary (multi-state).
