Job summary

The role requires 7+ years in Windows admin, a BS/BA with extensive experience, and familiarity with DISA STIGs and vulnerability remediation. DHS/DOD exposure and security credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• BS/BA + 8 years of applicable experience or equivalent combination
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Windows system administration
• Experience with Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Experience with DISA STIGs and security hardening best practices
• Knowledge of vulnerability remediation and patch management processes
• Experience with identity and access management systems
• Strong understanding of Windows security logging and auditing
• Experience with VXRails or Zscaler.

Responsibilities

• Build, harden, patch, and maintain Windows servers across the FEMA enterprise.
• Implement security configurations and apply patches promptly while complying with DISA STIGs.
• Manage user accounts across the FEMA enterprise and Group Policy Objects enterprise-wide.
• Handle vulnerability remediation activities and manage certificates for authentication and encryption.
• Maintain system logging for auditing and compliance and support ICAM requirements.
• Document administrative actions and oversee recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
