Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support FEMA’s Office of the Chief Information Security Officer in Washington, D.C.

You will secure Linux-based infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid environments, applying DISA STIGs or CIS Benchmarks and maintaining strict hardening, logging, and patching practices. You will collaborate with cybersecurity professionals, system owners, and enterprise admins to ensure availability, resilience, and compliance while

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• FEMA EOD suitability or Current DHS or FEMA EOD preferred
• BS/BA + 8 years of applicable experience or equivalent combination

Responsibilities

• Secure Linux-based infrastructure for the FEMA enterprise using DISA STIGs or CIS Benchmarks to reduce attack surfaces.
• Configure firewalls, access controls, and harden system services, and perform regular patching, software upgrades, and hotfixes on Linux servers.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and plan/test patches to avoid operational disruptions.
• Ensure high availability and uptime for mission-critical systems; monitor performance, health, and capacity.
• Support ICAM tools, LDAP, and privileged access management.
• Maintain system logging for auditing and compliance.
• Maintain technical documentation for all administrative actions.
