Job summary

Amentum seeks a Systems Administrator 2 (Windows) for Kauai, HI to support U.S. Navy DoW operations. You will administer Windows Server environments, manage AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs, and ensure STIG compliance while applying RMF/NIST controls.

Responsibilities include patch management with MECM, system hardening, PowerShell automation, and supporting VM platforms. Travel to sea sites may be required; candidate must work in a team and assist junior staff.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of specialized Windows system administration.
• Experience with IT systems and advanced infrastructure concepts.
• Proficient in operating personal computers, software and office equipment.
• Basic keyboarding and accuracy in sorting.
• Proven problem solving and critical thinking.
• Automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• VMware/Nutanix certification.
• Knowledge/Administration of Trellix, LogRhythm, and MDE.
• Experience with MECM/SCCM.
• Experience with DoW systems and infrastructure.
• Knowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Ensure DISA STIG compliance and DoW cybersecurity policies.
• Execute patch management and deployments via MECM.
• Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
• Support virtualization platforms, VMware and Hyper-V.
• Assist in ATO packages and POAM documentation.
• Act as escalation point for junior staff.
• Participate in Change Control Boards (CCBs).
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and incident response.
• Work on-site and possibly at sea for PMRF MATSS.
