Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator (SA) for a Maryland-based prime contract. The role focuses on implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems across client/server/storage/network devices, with emphasis on Windows environments.

The position requires ten years of SA experience (with a technical bachelor’s or 12 years total experience in lieu of degree) and DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I certification, plus a TS/SCI Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or related field is required.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four additional years of work-related experience may be substituted for a total of twelve years.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level I is required.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Windows SA for a new prime contract that is based out of our Maryland office.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.

• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (mostly Windows) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems

• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems

• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems

• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

Clearance Required:

TS/SCI Poly

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or related field is required.

• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted for a total of twelve (12) years.

Minimum Years of Experience:

• Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a total of fourteen (14) years of experience.

Required Certifications: (if needed)

• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level I is required.

Compensation Details:

$150,000 - $180,000
