Job summary

S2i2 Inc is seeking a Windows Server Lead for the Enterprise Windows Administration Support Services (EWASS) in Columbus, OH. This on‑site, hands‑on leadership role directs technical projects, mentors staff, and ensures the stability, security, and performance of enterprise Windows environments serving a national mission.

The ideal candidate has DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher, extensive Windows Server experience, and a documented track record delivering complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of progressive IT experience.
• Experience on at least five projects in technical areas relevant to the Statement of Work, with at least one project completed within the past three (3) years
• Hands‑on knowledge and experience in all aspects of Windows Server administration.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT Level II, from the listed certs.
• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate certification or equivalent authority

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for the Windows team: direct technical work, prepare documentation and briefings, lead on‑site installations, review work products for quality and schedule alignment, and coordinate with the S2i2 project manager and DLA technical stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor staff, and provide oversight on complex projects to ensure stability, security, and performance of enterprise Windows environments.
• Collaborate with vendor project managers and government stakeholders to ensure effective solutions and high user satisfaction.

Description

Join a mission‑critical team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as the Windows Server Lead. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will direct technical projects, mentor staff, and ensure the stability, security, and performance of enterprise Windows environments serving a nationally significant mission.

Provide technical leadership and oversight on complex projects, performing in‑depth analysis and producing thorough documentation. Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations.

Lead and mentor the team in on‑site management and installations. Independently install, operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems, devices, software, and connectivity.

Support project planning and execution, reviewing work products for accuracy, design adherence, and alignment with user requirements and schedules.

Collaborate closely with vendor project managers, technical points of contact, and government stakeholders to ensure effective solutions and high user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT Level II, Only ONE (1) of the following: CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, GIAC GSEC, GICSP, EC-Council CND, ISC2 SSCP, Cisco CCNA Security or IAT Level III (ex., ISC2 CISSP or Associate, ISACA CISA, CompTIA CASP+ CE, GIAC GCED, GIAC GCIH, Cisco CCNP Security, ISC2 CCSP)
