Job description
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate services.
Implement security best practices, including patch management and hardening of systems.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to servers, workstations, and domain services.
Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end stability and security.
Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Qualifications
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering or related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of IT Engineering experience. Four (4) years of additional IT Engineer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree, making the total experience requirement twelve (12) years as an IT Engineer without a degree.
Eight (8) years’ experience as an IT Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required.
One (1) year experience in Enterprise IT systems and projects. Managing and performing integration operations and maintenance activities on multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases concurrently.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust) is a plus.
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MSCE, AZ-104, SC-300) is a plus.
