Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Westerville, OH is seeking an Engineer focused on Windows Automation and Deployment. You will develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for deployment, validation, and reporting, support image preparation, and work with WinPE environments to ensure reliable deployment and recovery workflows.

You will diagnose startup/boot issues, automate repetitive tasks, and collaborate with engineers to reproduce issues and implement fixes while adhering to change controls

Qualifications

• Practical PowerShell scripting experience with files, processes, services, logs and errors.
• Strong Windows OS and Windows administration knowledge.
• Familiarity with WinPE and Windows deployment/recovery workflows.
• Understanding of Windows boot processes and BCD.
• Experience automating routine IT tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts for Windows administration, deployment, validation, and reporting.
• Support Windows image preparation and post-image checks including OS configuration, services, updates and verification.
• Work with WinPE environments and bootable media used in deployment/recovery workflows.
• Diagnose Windows startup and boot configuration issues including BCD.
• Automate repeatable operational tasks with logging, error handling and clear results.
• Review deployment and system logs, identify failure patterns, summarize findings for technical teams.
• Follow change controls, runbooks, and security requirements; document changes and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve deployment reliability.
