Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Cloud Engineer - Windows to design, implement, and support cloud-hosted Windows server environments for mission-critical federal applications in secure cloud or hybrid infrastructures.

You will build and maintain VMs, images, and automation to provision Windows workloads, configure identity, networking, storage, and monitoring to meet security, availability, and cost objectives across the client environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7+ years in Windows system administration with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, logging, and monitoring.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer Windows Server instances in cloud platforms, including image management, patching, and configuration baseline enforcement.
• Design and implement cloud networking for Windows workloads (virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, load balancers).
• Automate Windows deployment and configuration using scripting and IaC to enable repeatable builds and compliant environments.
• Integrate Windows with directory services and IAM with appropriate access controls.
• Monitor and tune Windows systems in the cloud for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to integrate Windows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for Windows workloads.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and diagrams describing Windows cloud architectures.
