Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Cloud Engineer - Windows to design, implement, and support cloud-hosted Windows server environments for mission-critical apps in secure federal cloud or hybrid infrastructures.

You will build and maintain VMs and images, automate provisioning, and configure identity, networking, storage, and monitoring to meet security, availability, performance, and cost objectives across the client environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4–7+ years of Windows system administration in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Experience managing Windows servers in cloud, including image management, patching and security hardening.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell/Python and IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong cloud networking, IAM, logging and monitoring knowledge.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer Windows server instances in public or private cloud platforms.
• Design and implement cloud networking constructs for Windows workloads.
• Automate Windows deployment and configuration using scripting and IaC.
• Integrate Windows with directory services and identity providers with strong access controls.
• Monitor and tune Windows systems for performance, availability, and cost.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to integrate services into CI/CD.
• Implement and support backup, recovery, and DR for Windows workloads.
• Maintain runbooks and diagrams describing architectures and procedures.
