The Shade Store in San Francisco, CA seeks a Window Treatment Installer Assistant to support measuring and installing drapery, blinds, and roman shades. You will help protect the site, manage ladders, and learn our Measure and Install techniques.

This full-time role pays $22.00–$25.00 per hour and includes benefits: medical/dental/vision, a company vehicle with gas coverage, cell phone reimbursement, PTO and holidays, and a 4% 401(k) match.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational degree preferred.
• Active driver’s license and insurable.
• Experience with high-end installation, finish work, or skilled trade preferred.
• Customer service or in-home service experience.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and able to provide the highest level of service.

• Assist with measuring and installation of drapery, wooden blinds, Roman shades, and complex motorization projects.
• Protect the work site using drop cloths and furniture moving pads.
• Assist with cleaning up of job site and handling ladders up to 26 feet tall.
• Build knowledge of product lines to ensure smooth measure and install process.
• Learn and use The Shade Store’s Measure and Install techniques and software systems.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00/hour per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with measure and installation of drapery, wooden blinds, Roman shades, complex motorization projects and more
• Assist with protecting the work site using drop cloths and furniture moving pads
• Assist with cleaning up of job site and perform required tasks including footing ladders on tall installations
• Build knowledge over time on the product lines we offer to ensure a smooth and seamless measure and install process
• Become skilled at using The Shade Store’s Measure and Install techniques and software systems to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of every appointment
• Communicate with and partner regularly with Measure & Install support teams while in the field
• Provide exemplary customer service to The Shade Store customer and its retailer affiliates
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles pertaining to the installation of window treatments
• Assist with preparing all installed products to enhance the look of the product
• Report any product related issues immediately from job site to allow for the proper solution

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent; degree from a technical/vocational school is preferred
• Active driver’s license and insurable
• Experience with high-end installation, finish work or a skilled trade preferred
• Customer service or in-home service experience
• Enthusiastic, energetic and able to provide the highest level of service to all customers
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter, quick learner, team player
• Must be punctual, reliable with a great work ethic and the highest level of integrity
• A strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices and tablets
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb up and down ladders up to 26’ in height
• Assist with site cleanup and van drop off for maintenance.
