Job summary

Window World of Boston is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our Pembroke, MA team. You will measure, troubleshoot, service, repair, and install residential windows and doors, and support siding-related service work.

The role requires hands-on exterior remodeling experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs professionally while communicating clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Experience measuring replacement windows.
• Experience servicing and repairing residential windows and doors.
• Window installation experience.
• Working knowledge of vinyl siding installation and repair.
• Ability to diagnose installation and product-related issues.
• Strong knowledge of proper window and door installation techniques, flashing, insulation, caulking, and weatherproofing.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other installation/service equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift and carry windows, doors, tools, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure windows and doors for replacement and installation.
• Service and repair windows including locks, balances, sashes, screens, glass, hardware, weatherstripping, and other components.
• Diagnose and repair door issues, including entry doors, patio doors, locks, hardware, alignment, weatherstripping, and operational problems.
• Troubleshoot and perform siding repairs, including replacing damaged panels and addressing installation-related issues.
• Install replacement windows when needed.
• Perform window and door adjustments to ensure proper operation and sealing.
• Identify the cause of leaks, drafts, water infiltration, and other installation or product-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding service issues and repairs.
• Take detailed photos and document all service work performed.
• Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, parts, and service materials.
• Follow company procedures and all applicable safety requirements.
• Work closely with the Service, Production, and Installation teams to resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
