Job summary

Nidec is seeking a Winding Technician in the United States to ensure a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront each day, winding and storing fibrous material.

Responsibilities include inspecting and testing during rewinds, adhering to EASA standards, and performing routine maintenance while maintaining strong teamwork and communication for quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process.
• Test condition of winding according to EASA standards.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment.
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
• Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines.
• Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product.
