Job summary

Nidec in the United States is seeking a Winding Technician to ensure a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront every day, winding and storing fibrous material.

The role involves inspecting, testing, dismantling or stripping damaged equipment, preparing reusable parts, following insulation standards, and maintaining lines with strong teamwork and communication to support daily production objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process
• Test condition of winding according to EASA standards
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding
• Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines
• Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product
