Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Winder Operator to operate and monitor winding and wrapping table functions in a warehouse/factory setting. You will ensure safety compliance, maintain roll lengths per specs, monitor quality, and report issues to supervision while assisting maintenance as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about two years’ experience in manufacturing. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accurate, timely production and safety.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience is required.
• At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• General knowledge of all machines and the production process is valuable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with tasks, and solve problems promptly.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor winder and wrapping table functions.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Maintain finished product roll lengths per spec.
• Monitor product quality for defects.
• Report issues to foreman or supervisor.
• Make machine adjustments for proper operation.
• Apply wrap with correct date and color.
• Maintain glue system and production line speeds.
• Communicate issues with coater/press operator.
• Keep area clean and safe; assist maintenance as needed.
• Assist with lacing of machine.
