Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Ability to use common hand tools.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Set up Winder with proper program for the order.
• Make adjustments and thread up machine as required.
• Measure, space, set blades and cutters, according to product specifications.
• Observe operation of machine to detect and correct malfunctions.
• Operate the Winder in accordance with job specifications.
• Guide rolls onto conveyor.
• Assist crew members and work in a team environment.
• Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals.
• Keep work area clean throughout shift.
• Assist in training new operators.
• Communicate all production/winder related information to next shift Winder or Shift Supervisor.
• Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
