Job summary

Valdese Weavers LLC is seeking a production assistant to support winding department operations. You will assist winders to achieve higher production, move yarn between dye and winding areas, and help with labeling and waste management.

The role requires follow-through on deadlines and safety guidelines in a fast-paced mill environment. The position involves overtime as scheduled and working closely with the winding team to maintain productivity.

• Ability to operate powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist winders to achieve higher production.
• Meet deadlines and production quotas.
• Move yarn between departments as directed.
• Dispatch yarn to winding machines based on priorities.
• Print labels and attach to yarn lots.
• Audit waste handling and manage bins in winding area.
• Provide timelines for dye lot requirements to logistics.
• Assist with overtime and attendance as required.
