Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking Wind Turbine Technicians to support operations and maintenance of wind farm sites in Taft or Corpus Christi, TX. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and the ability to travel up to 50% within Texas.

Candidates should have wind technician certification, be fluent in English, and be able to climb towers and work outdoors in varying weather. Safety and regulatory compliance are prioritized as you troubleshoot and repair turbine systems.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician Certification or equivalent
• Able to travel for in-state site work up to 50%
• Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills
• Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
• Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting or leading on site
• Experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties with a primary focus on safety and quality
• Understand both the metric and imperial measurement systems
• Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and production of various goods and services
• Troubleshoot equipment, machines, wiring or computer programs issues
• Lead teams, train new employees, and complete reports when needed
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness
