Overview

This is a site-based Wind Technician opening for a wind farm site near Bad Axe, Michigan. This is a local position so no relocation assistance will be offered to non-local candidates. Although previous wind turbine maintenance experience is preferred, this opportunity is also available to mechanically/electrically inclined candidates with transferrable skills looking to join the wind industry.

Responsibilities

• Change gearbox oil in a designated area or wind field.
• Grease/torque wind turbines.
• Perform checks on turbines and repair problems as needed.
• Replace mechanical components.
• Service blade and hub components as required by turbine type.
• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Experience

• Strong mechanical skillset and ability to quickly pick up new mechanical concepts
• Ability to climb towers daily/work at heights
• Strong safety mindset

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of maintenance experience on Wind turbines or associated equipment
• Graduated from a technical program in Wind Turbine Technology
