Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Structural/Mechanical Engineer to support Americas Construction, Service, and Global Engineering/R&D. You will troubleshoot field issues, lead cross-functional projects, and design improvements to mechanical/structural systems for wind turbines.

Expect collaboration with regional and global teams and travel as needed. You will develop technical documentation, perform root-cause analysis, mentor colleagues, and ensure adherence to ASTM, AWS, ISO, and utility requirements while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 4–10 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in wind turbines or related field.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics and stress analysis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical inquiries from construction, service, and customers with timely, quality responses.
• Provide guidance on turbine installation-related construction issues.
• Develop and review region-specific and global technical docs, specs, and drawings for mechanical/structural systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve structural anomalies and implement cost-effective, safe solutions.
• Train and mentor regional colleagues on subject matter expertise.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
