Job summary

System One is hiring certified wind technicians to apply electro‑mechanical skills for maintenance and repair of wind turbines in Macomb, IL. The role centers on diagnosing, performing, and inspecting maintenance needs for assigned turbines.

You will perform on-site and remote tasks, document repairs, and ensure safety and quality. A valid GE LOTO certification is required, with 5 years in wind/solar/BESS sectors and a clean driver license. A relocation package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid GE LOTO certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Wind, Solar, or BESS sectors.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• Ability to climb wind towers and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot, cold, etc.).
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Wind Turbines and document repairs.
• Perform quality control inspections on repairs and maintenance functions.
• Execute predefined service work on customer equipment on-site or remotely.
• Prepare timely reports regarding inspections and deficiencies.
• Guide and train onsite subcontractor staff.
• Assist in wind turbine countermeasures and procedures.
• Ensure proper troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain inventory of parts and communicate needs.
