Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to enhance wind turbine reliability, availability, and performance through failure analysis, troubleshooting, and collaborative problem solving with operations, maintenance, and OEM teams.

The ideal candidate has experience in wind turbine mechanics, RCA, reliability engineering, and maintenance strategies, with a strong safety and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude for mechanical systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Proficient with MS Office and data documentation.
• Willingness to travel for site support and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of utility-scale wind turbines.
• Analyze mechanical failures to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Review SCADA data, maintenance records, and condition reports to identify trends.
• Troubleshoot major mechanical components (gearboxes, bearings, shafts, lubrication).
• Develop recommendations to improve reliability and maintenance efficiency.
• Lead RCA, FMEA, and reliability improvement initiatives with teams.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
