Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to enhance wind turbine reliability and performance by conducting mechanical failure analysis, supporting troubleshooting, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and OEM teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wind turbine mechanical systems, RCA, reliability engineering, and maintenance strategies, with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of utility-scale wind turbines.
• Analyze mechanical failures and identify root causes with corrective actions.
• Review turbine data, maintenance records, and SCADA to improve asset performance.
• Troubleshoot major mechanical components: gearboxes, shafts, bearings, hydraulics.
• Develop recommendations to improve reliability and implement modifications.
• Support preventive, predictive, and CBM programs.
• Collaborate with field technicians, reliability engineers, and OEMs.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure safety compliance.
