ACCIONA Energía seeks a Mechanical Engineer to improve wind turbine reliability, availability, and performance by conducting mechanical failure analysis and supporting troubleshooting activities. The role collaborates with operations, maintenance, and OEM teams to develop solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of utility-scale wind turbines.
• Analyze mechanical failures and equipment performance to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate turbine data, maintenance records, SCADA information to identify trends and improve asset performance.
• Troubleshoot major mechanical components including gearboxes, main bearings, shafts, pitch and yaw systems, drivetrains, hydraulics, and lubrication systems.
• Develop engineering recommendations to improve reliability, maintainability, and efficiency, including modifications and retrofits.
• Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with field technicians, site managers, reliability engineers, and OEMs to resolve complex issues.
• Review engineering drawings, documentation, maintenance procedures, and service bulletins.
