Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wind turbine systems at our Lorenzo, TX site. You will handle field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and reliability improvements, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

The role emphasizes preventing downtime, interpreting fault reports, and documenting turbine performance with SCADA systems. Candidates should be able to climb turbines and complete required safety and training. Relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1.5+ years in a technical field, or completion of a technical certificate/degree program.
Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.
Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval required.

Responsibilities

Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling.
Applies basic understanding of the technical and process functions.
Manages own training schedules and meets all training requirements within designated time frames.
Able to meet attendance requirements.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
