Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician III (Entry Level) in Panhandle, TX to join Majestic Wind operations. The role focuses on safe field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and turbine availability across site operations.

Expect hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, routine preventative maintenance, and collaboration with the NextEra team to improve performance. This is a full-time, on-site position with relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or GED required.
• 0+ years experience in wind tech or related field.
• Valid driver's license (NON CDL).
• Ability to climb wind turbine up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Applies basic understanding of the technical and process functions.
• Manages own training schedules and meets all training requirements.
• Able to meet attendance requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
