Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician at the Perryton wind farm in Perryton, TX. This on-site role focuses on safe, reliable maintenance and diagnostics of wind turbine systems, with emphasis on field operations and preventive care.

You will work on electrical, mechanical, and control components, ensuring turbine availability and performance while adhering to OSHA and safety standards. Growth opportunities through Lean Six Sigma and performance programs are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or GED required.
• 0+ years experience in field operations.
• Valid Driver's License (non CDL) required.
• Ability to climb wind turbine up to 300 feet.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventive maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Applies basic understanding of the technical and process functions.
• Manages own training schedules and meets all training requirements.
• Able to meet attendance requirements.
